Hello! Have you ever wished there were ratings on books like there are on movies, so that you knew what you were getting into? So have I! and so I decided to make it! Here you will find clean books and ratings for them. I'm hoping that this will relieve you as you look through young adult and teen novels, hoping to find a clean one. Enjoy!
P.S. I will give explanations for each rating in the actual reviews too!
How I rate books
Language (swearing)
None,
Mild (one swear every 5-10 pages, no explicit words)
Moderate (a swear every 1-4 pages, nothing explicit)
DEGT (Don't even go there!) (several swears on every page or use of explicit language) which hopefully will never be used!
Violence (similar to the movie rating system)
G (bruises, very mild injuries, no harm specifically done to others [i.e. other people trying to kill or maim other people.])
PG (people trying to hurt others, but nothing severe. Mild bleeding and other injuries)
PG13 (battles, killings, heavier wounds, little to no gore)
14+ (gore, more descriptive violence, but not rated R stuff because hopefully we will stay away from that!)
Sex/Nudity
None
Mild (little kissing, other things like that)
Moderate (lying next to each other [if that happens to bother you] kissing, nudity [but not for sexual reasons])
and part of the idea of this blog is to make sure nothing explicit is in these books!
